A crisis can and will break most people. Yet, it can also be an open door to finding out exactly who and what you are made of. Just 24-hours ago life was different as a stay-at-home mom, in the comfort of her beautiful home. As traumatic as spending the night in jail was for her, she had no idea that was not the worse to lie ahead for her. Everything that once gave her security was ripped away, even the most precious and valuable. This story takes us on her 15 month journey of self discovery to answering the question, “Who The Hell Do You Think You Are?”

Who The Hell Do You Think You Are? Marjorie Phoenix 9781503111172 Books Reviews
It is sad to see that couples can be in love at the beginning of a relationship and then hearts turn so cold and hard when it ends. Marjorie expresses in her book that she was shocked at how the man she loved could have his heart turn so hard and retaliate by using the courts as a weapon against her. She expressed that it really wasn't her desire to have things end the way that they did but realized that because it seemed that there was no turning back in her relationship that she had to rely upon God to restore her substance, heart, mind and spirit and she provides the steps on how God became her source to fulfill her needs in every way. She expresses that through one of the greatest trials in her life that God used the trial to strengthen her as a human being and for her to discover who she really is... God's precious child. I would recommend this book to anyone going through a trial or has felt betrayal so that they can learn to let go of the bitterness and work through the pain and turn things over to God.
"Who The Hell Do You Think You Are?" gives an intimate look into Marjorie’s story of betrayal, heartache, pain, and ultimately triumph. As I read her memoir, I couldn’t help but think of how that could happen to me, my best friend, a family member… any woman! And to think that you know someone (your spouse) and come to find out that you really don’t know that person at all or know what they are capable of. I felt such sadness when Marjorie described how she was kept from her youngest daughter – not only as a mother and what she was going through, but what her baby girl was feeling, as well. And as a child of divorce, I also imagined what her oldest daughter must have been feeling during that scary and chaotic time. Marjorie has a way of sharing just enough in each chapter to keep you wanting more and to find out what's next. As she described her journey and the hope and faith she continued to have throughout, I smiled knowing that Marjorie would come out on top, be a better person for having that experience, and be able to use her experience to help others who are going through something similar.
From the very first 2 pages I was glued. I wanted to learn and read more. Majorie taught me bad a marriage can get when a man decides that he wants to be unfair. This book also taught me that you shouldn't remain content because you are comfortable in a relationship. Despite what others may think or feel , including yourself, if it's not working move on. There's a meme that's going around social media in words such as " when God shows you it's time to let go & you refuse too, he will allow the person to hurt you to the point you have no other choice to let go". It's the truth but when God makes you let go, you have to have faith, strength, and prayer while his working. This book was awesome. I have recommended it plenty of times. Thank God for Majorie testimony.
This book is an inspiration to women everywhere that have gone through experiences that defines their character and strength. A must read that will inspire women to get more involved with each other in the realms of support. It. Is a good read and i recommend it most definitely. An eye opener to what alot of us go through on a daily basis with trying to stay sane for ourselves and our families. Good Book!
Wonderful telling book about abusive relationship and struggles and triumphs!
When I first read about this book on ... I knew then I had to have this book. I could tell that this story was one that I could relate to in more ways than one, because I was a woman once in her shoes so to speak. I loved Marjorie's style of writing cause it was simple and to the point ... the book is a short read ... it makes you feel like you are right there with her as she goes through this part of her life journey. But the whole time it held my attention, because this was a story of a woman that wasn't going to let anything stand in her way. With whatever trails she faced she relied on her faith in the Lord that everything would work out. If you have ever been in a relationship that you went through any type of abuse... you will enjoy this story of a women of faith and never giving up on her dreams.
Marjorie is able to describe each scene dramatically and articulate her feelings and emotions extremely well. My favorite scenes were the ones about her daughter and how she ached to have her back in her arms and have her live with her again. Marjorie writes like a novelist whose publishing her fifth novel not like a debut author. Marjorie is a pioneer who every woman should admire for her tenacious and virulent manner and how she fought her way back to sanity and peace. A must read for every woman!
