I read this book because I absolutely love paranormal romance books and I think I've exhausted all my options and it's very hard to find a good series to read. I started this one and actually closed it out and wasn't going to finish it but after browsing through Amazons selections for the millionth time and coming up empty I went back and started reading more I almost give up a second time after I read where the main character gets a visit from her triplet sister who has just discovered she's a werebear and she's found her fated mate and Nessa freaks actually calls her sister a freak and that pretty much ticked me off I didn't see how the author could turn this witch of a woman into someone I'd want to see end up with a fated mate so basically goes on to dig the hole even deeper and has Nessa fall for the TA a pre-med student Eric the one she always imagined her life with you know living the "soccer mom" life but I didn't know all soccer mom's were shallow gold diggers because that's pretty much the way she painted her she wanted a man to take care of her so she could have kids and live the country club life style ugh I kind of hated her and yet she's got this really sweet guy that she's got the hots for but he's a freak and could never provide the kind of lifestyle she would have with pre-med Eric. So they kiss and she runs away freaking out once she realizes she's kissing a werebear like he's some kind of disease she can catch! Her attitude does a total 360 right before a Christmas party she goes out buys him a gift and he loves it of course and she can totally see her self with him now and then they all decide to go out clubbing and while she's out on the dance floor with the girls guess who comes grinding up behind her pre-med Eric a sweaty drunk Eric and now she's disgusted with him asking how she could have ever thought she could see her self being married to someone like him he's nothing like Mr. Bear lol so long story short she goes to spend the holiday with her sister and her new mate which happens to be her man's brother so they're all sitting there like one big happy family everything is peachy like none of the horrible awful things she said or thought ever happened she's always been proshifter and that's that you get one love making scene and boom that's the end of the book if you're half as confused after reading all this imagine how you will feel when you read it. The book is very short and very bland and then I look to see what the next one is about and it's 2.99 for 73 pages umm heck no I wouldn't waste my money but that's my two cents :)Product details

This fun, quick read touches on a few all too relatable issues such as the moments when a person realizes the qualities they assumed would make someone their perfect match may not be what matters most, and the dreams we cling to may have the right end goal and meaning, but we may have misunderstood what was at the core of that dream, or what was required to make it come true.
I sat down with this hoping for a fun, light read, and I got that and a lot more sprinkled in for good measure.
Story is mainly about Nessa Harrison and her two sisters Ginny who is going to the same college and rooming with her and the third triplet Tori who goes to a different college. What Tori comes to tell Nessa and Ginny will change their lives. Ginny’s lead singer leaves so she asks Nessa to fill in, that is where Nessa meets bass player Andre Linquist, they sing together , and there is a connection When Nessa finds he is a bear shifter she is not to sure about it especially after what Tori showed and told them. Will they get a happy ending? I was gifted a copy for an honest review
Vanessa, Ginnry and Tori are triplets. Tori came to campus to share her happiness and news about them being werebears. Their father was a werebear. She showed them a paw and Ginny was excited, but not Vanessa.
Ginny asked Vanessa to sing with their band because their singer ran off with her boyfriend. After begging and some, well maybe. She said yes.
She went to a practice and saw Andre, someone who had walked her home one dark night. They began to sing together and it went great. Andre was a song writter and Vanessa could put a line in at times.
Did Andre and Vanessa get together? Did Vanessa accept her bear side? I volunteered to review this ARC book using entirely my own opinion.
I liked the story itself well enough. There were interesting events and some fun interplay between characters. However, Nessa just rubbed me the wrong way. I can go with her initial idea on what she wants and that she can change it over time, but I didn't feel like there was enough time or a catalyst that really made sense for the book. I would give another book in the series a try because there were some really cool ideas in it (can't say specifically because I don't want to spoil it!). I think with a different pair of main characters I could really like the author's work.
Nessa has plans for her future one that involve a husband who will take care of her, children and a life like her mother had. Security has been beefed up around the campus so Nessa has to call for someone to walk her from her dorm. The tall stranger who leads escorts her doesn't speak much but there is something about him.
When her sister arrives in town she tells her and their other sister that they are the daughters of a werebear shifter. As if that's not enough that Tori has found her true mate a bear shifter. Determined to not follow in her sister's footsteps Nessa avoids the bear shifter in town. When her sister Ginny needs a singer for her bad Nessa has no choice but to help but she may give up her heart in the process.
I like Nessa she's a sweetheart helping out her sister when she needed her even though she doesn't want to be part of a band. I like Andre he's on the quiet side but he complements Nessa in more than just singing. They have this sweet chemistry but when Nessa accepts that they are connected it's steamy.
I've been reading other books by the author so I was curious to check out her bear shifter romance and I wasn't disappointed. Andre is a sweet story between Nessa who's running towards the future and Andre from his past. Together they find what they need in each other forming a solid bond. The characters are easy to connect with you can't help having a soft spot for both of them. This isn't my first book by the author but the shifter romance tends to be my favorites. I like the authors writing style she's done a great job creating a unique world with engaging stories. I'm looking forward to reading more of her stories.
